Mensink Dinanda

I was born and raised in the charming Lochem, right in the heart of the beautiful Achterhoek region. These days, I live in the countryside near Ruurlo, where we’re lucky enough to share our space with quite the lively crew: Wallisian and Dutch Land goats, Orpington chickens, and two very mischievous farm cats who are practically the bosses around here. Every day, we get to enjoy all the life and color around us—there’s never a dull moment!
I grew up in a house filled with dogs: German Shorthaired Pointers, English Cocker Spaniels, Dachshunds, and later, Labradors. Our family was very into hunting, and naturally, I tagged along whenever I could. My grandfather kept all sorts of breeds, which I found absolutely fascinating. With our Labradors, I’ve had my share of adventure, competing in hunting trials and events. These days, our household is still all about Labradors and English Cocker Spaniels, and yes, they’re thoroughly spoiled, shown, and bred with all our love and attention.
I’m working as an instructor for the Dutch Kennel Club, Exterior and Movement course, which helps prepare people for judging exams. I’m lucky to work with an amazing team, and I currently judge Groups 7 and 8.
One of the things that keeps me so excited about this is seeing how each breed’s unique build affects their movement—it’s endlessly fascinating to me! I’m really looking forward to this event and can’t wait to judge your gorgeous dogs. Let’s make it a fun, lively day!
